How to Disable Shopify Pixel

Removing other pixel integrations from Shopify so they don't interfere with Trackify

Trackify replaces any Facebook pixel integration you may have enabled in Shopify. The native, basic Shopify integration was recently replaced with a Shopify native app called "Facebook".

When using Trackify to manage Facebook pixels in your store, you have two options:

  1. Uninstall the Facebook app entirely

  2. Disable Pixel Tracking in the Facebook app

Both options are acceptable for Trackify. It's your preference. Uninstalling the app is simple enough, so below we will put step-by-step screen shots that show you how to disable pixel tracking in the Facebook app. Note that you will not be able to create any ads through the Facebook Marketing app, but any ads you have created directly in your own ad accounts will continue to work after you move your pixel to Trackify.

1./ Go to your Shopify admin and click on Facebook:

2.a) If your Facebook Marketing setup is already active, click on Settings, otherwise scroll down to 3.

2.b) Then click on Data sharing settings and "Disconnect" the pixel - then continue to 4.!

3.a) If you have not completed Facebook Marketing setup, you need to check if your pixel is already connected: In the Overview, scroll down to the "Facebook Marketing" section and go into the setup

3.b) If you see a pixel under Customer Tracking > View Tracking Details, click Disconnect - then continue to 4.!

4.) Confirm!

Note: If you have set up campaigns through the Facebook Marketing app, they may stop working. However, any ads that you've set up in any of your ad accounts yourself will continue to work just fine (and even better!) if you move your pixel to Trackify.

You have completed this tutorial.
