How Purchase Value Works by Default

By default, Trackify sends the exact amount the customer paid at checkout with every Purchase event.

This includes:

  • Product prices

  • Taxes

  • Shipping costs

  • Discounts or coupons

In simple terms:

Facebook receives the same total that appears on the Shopify order.

This setup works well for most stores and requires no changes.

What the Purchase Value Modification Does

Trackify includes an advanced setting that lets you send a percentage of the actual purchase value instead of the full amount.

  • 100% = Default (no change)

  • Below 100% = Reduced value sent to Facebook

This change affects future purchases only. Past data cannot be changed.

Why Would You Change the Purchase Value?

There are two common reasons merchants use this feature.

Example 1: Reporting Profit Instead of Gross Revenue

Let’s say:

  • A customer places a ₹10,000 order

  • Your product cost + shipping + fulfillment = 30%

  • Your actual profit = 70%

If you want Facebook to reflect your real earnings, you can:

  • Set the Purchase Value Percentage to 70

Result:

  • Facebook receives ₹7,000 instead of ₹10,000

  • ROAS inside Ads Manager is closer to true profit performance

This helps you make better scaling decisions without manual calculations.

Example 2: Sending a Lower Value for Testing

Some advertisers prefer to send less revenue data to Facebook.

For example:

  • Set Purchase Value Percentage to 10

If a customer pays ₹10,000:

  • Facebook receives ₹1,000

Why this is useful:

  • You can easily calculate real ROAS by multiplying by 10

  • Keeps full revenue amounts private

  • Used by some advertisers for delivery or performance testing

How to Change the Purchase Value in Trackify

  1. Open Trackify

  2. Go to Settings

  3. Find Price value reporting %

  4. Set your desired number (e.g., 70 or 10)

  5. Save your settings

That’s it. All future Purchase events will use the new value.

Important Things to Know

  • This does not change Shopify order totals

  • Customers are charged the full amount as usual

  • This only affects what is sent to Meta (Facebook)

  • Past Purchase events cannot be updated

  • You can change the percentage anytime
